I’d like to invite a non-member to speak at my session. Is it possible to receive a waiver?

Yes. DIG officers (such as a Chair, Program Chair, etc.) may recommend individuals to receive a waiver. A waiver provides one (1) complimentary registration for the Annual Meeting to individuals who would otherwise not attend, such as Guest Speakers, Panelists, and Distinguished Guests. Please note that membership benefits are not included. AOM administers the waiver program, including final approval of waiver requests.

Waivers are not available for AOM members, cannot be used as an award for AOM members, and are not available for officers of any DIG or sponsors of any DIG. Adherence to the Academy-wide policy is mandatory: All members attending the Annual Meeting, including the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and volunteers contributing to the Annual Meeting, are required to pay registration fees.
