AOM members can seek support for Annual Meeting participation through AOM’s 26 divisions and interest groups. Most divisions and interest groups offer scholarships to individuals based on division-created criteria published through the DIG’s communications. While each DIG’s scholarship program has unique aspects, most prioritize PhD student members and doctoral consortia participants as well as contingent faculty and scholars who have faced financial barriers due to COVID.
Further, twenty-five (25) complimentary Annual Meeting registration waivers will be allocated in 2022 to each division and interest group. Generally intended for non AOM members such as keynote speakers or from other organizations participating in a panel discussion at the DIG’S invitation, DIGs may elect to apply waivers this year to include under-represented members and those members facing financial hardship.
In addition, when financial burdens extend to paying membership fees, AOM continues to offer a membership dues deferral program for those members hit especially hard by the COVID economic situation.
