Is the Code of Ethics new?

Not entirely. The Academy has always had a Code consisting of principles and guidelines. The Code was revised in 2006 retaining principles and guidelines for everyday professional activities but introducing ethical standards enforceable within the context of Academy of Management activities, such as publishing in Academy journals, participating in Career Services, or submitting a paper to the annual meeting. This new 2023 revision includes important updates to our professional principles and ethical standards reflecting our changing landscape and commitments as scholar-members.
