What is the desk reject / desk edit policy at AMD?

If an article is framed deductively, it will almost always receive a desk reject; however, such articles could receive a desk edit if there is an indication that the research itself was conducted in an exploratory manner. Articles that are poorly written will receive a desk reject / desk edit decision depending on the quality of the writing. Other common reasons for desk reject / desk edit decisions include articles that: are theoretically-driven (rather than phenomenon-driven), are outside the management domain, have no data or insufficient data, utilize poor methodology, or have no clearly articulated discovery. Given the unique nature of AMD as an exploratory journal, the desk reject / desk edit rate is somewhat higher than comparable premier journals in management.
